Mundane Existence

“What a fun collection of prompts today. How I wish I had hours to write instead of just 20 minutes. Oh well, here’s a new creation for you.”

I wrote this story for the following prompts.
Your Daily Word — Pretext
Ragtag Daily Prompt — Eldritch
Fandango’s One Word Challenge — Jazz
Pensitivity’ s Three Things Challenge — Mind, Stubborn, Wilful

Mundane Existence

Mine is a mundane existence
Yes, I was stubborn
I lacked ‘er glitzy elegance
Now I’m just forlorn

I never had all that jazz
But I’m wilful in me play
Forget about fashionable snaz
I’m eldritch in me way

The pretext is simply obscene
I tried hard to make the most
And now I’m completely unseen
You see I’m a bleedin’ ghost

Don’t forget Holly Ward investigates, Stolen Treasures is out on Amazon now!
