Handyman

“A little bit of cheeriness to start our Friday.”

I wrote this poem in answer to the following prompts:
FOWC with Fandango  — Spartan
Your Daily Word — Cleave

Handyman

I am a Spartan man
No not a mighty swordsman
I won’t cleave your caftan
I’m just a handyman

I live a frugal existence
Austere but driven by persistence
I’ll smile as I go the distance
Call if you need my assistance

I laugh and joke through my day
Fixing everything you say
I love rigorous work and play
I smile because everything’s okay

I’m almost there. The competition ends on the 30th
