The Power of Money

“Here’s poetic dollar for you.”

I wrote this story in answer to the following prompts:
Pensitivity’s Three Things Challenge — Money – Cash – Note
Your Daily Word — Agog

The Power of Money

It’s all about the money
Cash makes everything sunny
The penniless life is sore
Makes you worthless and poor

Worse you can’t do anything
You need money to do everything
The rich hold you in duress
By putting a price on your success

No money equals no gain
Work so hard you melt your brain
Agog at lack of sales
No dollars everything fails

There’s one note to impart
Dosh doesn’t make a happy heart
A wealth of love over money transcends
With caring family and friends

Thanks for reading my friends.

There’s more in the Poetry CornerPoetry Nook, and the Short Story Collection

Have a great day!

  1. Great poem Mason, but money can’t buy you love (Though that brand you sports car can probably buy a nice replica). And now for some reason I’m thinking of that movie Blade Runner. The original with Rutger Hauer.
