“AuthorWorld asked as to write about why I’m amazing today. I couldn’t do that, I don’t see myself that way. I just do what I can each day and that’s it, nothing amazing in that. So, I pass it to you.
Why are you amazing? make a post or answer in the comments.”
I wrote this poem in answer to the following prompts:
Authorworld — Picture – Why I’m Amazing
Ragtag Daily Prompt — Tangled Shoelaces
Your Daily Prompt – Tardy
Pensitivity’s Three Things Challenge — Fly – Wrench – Down
You’re Amazing
Life tries to wrench you down
You try to fly instead you drown
You’re not a tardy person
Yet everything continues to worsen
You keep trying to go places
Only to fall in a mass of tangled shoelaces
Everybody laughs at your downfall
Still, you dig in and try to crawl
Your naysayers doubt and goad
You keep marching down your chosen road
Soon their booing turns into praising
Smile now, you’re amazing
Thanks for reading my friends.

I don’t think many people would say that they are amazing. We wait for others to acknowledge our good qualities and validate us.

Nice poem Mason. We are all amazing in our own way, we just don’t acknowledge it.
