Uniquely Together

“The world is sick and still countries war over things like religion. Terrorists greedily attack and seize countries. People are still persecuted for being the wrong colour, gender, sexual orientation or religion. It has to stop. We’re all human and we all have the right to be who we are. Only by coming together as a loving, united species can we heal Earth. We are all humans so why must we fight and discriminate as if we’re all different species of alien?”

I wrote this poem for the following prompt.

Pensitivity’s Three Things Challenge — Crease – Blend – Front

Uniquely Together

We’re all unique in many ways
Yet we all live beneath the sun’s rays
We’re all human souls
Striving for our personal goals

We can all blend together well
Being similar to the hair cell
Regardless of gender, looks and beliefs
We can all become great chiefs

It’s time for equal pay
Every beautiful religion is okay
Each skin colour embraced and allowed
Let’s stand together and be proud

Let’s banish all the hate
Smooth each crease and debate
Stand in front for equality
Tend the world with love and jollity

Thanks for reading my friends.
