“That negativity, that self-doubt, that low-confidence, is all in your mind. Learn and grow, believe in yourself and vanquish that mental demon standing in your way!”
I wrote this story in answer to the following prompts:
FOWC with Fandango — Fallible
Authorworld — Picture – Brain Capacity
Your Daily Word — Sever
Ragtag Daily Prompt — Paperclip
Brain Power
The brain is like a paperclip
If it holds to much it’ll break and slip
Bend and stretch it with tenacity
and you’ll improve its capacity
Your brain is your strongest muscle
Exercise it with a mental tussle
Work hard and feel the muscle burn
Develop your skills, grow and learn
You maybe fallible at first
But soon you’ll be well-versed
Work hard with great vivacity
and maximise your brains capacity
Through every trial and disaster
grower stronger and become the master
Just sever your crippling self-doubt
And let’s hear your victory shout
Thanks for reading my friends.
There’s more in the Poetry Corner, Poetry Nook, and the Short Story Collection
Have a great day!
I loved the simile about the paper clip holding the brain together.
