“Does everything you do seem wrong? Does everybody read your work and want it different? Do you do the best you can and still feel a failure? Well you’re not wrong you’re unique. People hate that they want you to be a stereotype doing the same crap as everyone else. Be your own entrepreneur and show the world how special you are!”
I wrote this poem in answer to the following prompts:
Fandango’s Story Starter – Sometimes it hard to know the difference between.
Word of the Day – Schmo
Mindlovemisery’s Menagerie– Photo challenge — The picture above
Removing the Blur
Sometimes it hard to know the difference between
What’s right and wrong and completely obscene
Maybe it was chance or completely unforeseen
A load of garbled nonsense from a crazy scene
Life is enough to make your head spin
When you’re right, you’re wrong, you can’t win
You lead but you’re somebody’s linchpin
Still, you fight on using the fire within
Stop shaking your head, you’re causing a blur
No longer the schmo you’ll never defer
Time to take control and be your own chauffeur
The confusion is gone now you’re a mighty entrepreneur
Thanks for reading my friends.

Wise indeed. The trick is in not caring what others think. Works for me! 😉

You have to. You cant please everyone and trying to will just destroy you. It nearly destroyed me with my writing so I know this painfully well.

Great, absolutely great. We don’t need to be drones, we need to be individuals. Love it

Great message! You can’t be happy if all you do is work as per someone else’s needs. Prioritising yourself over others at times, is important.
