Positivity’s Lifeboat

“When all seems lost and all hope fades – you need a Positivity lifeboat. A symbol of hope. A light of chance. Find it in something that just might be possible and rise above the dark water and swim for it. You got this!”

I wrote this poem in answer to the following prompts:
FOWC with Fandango  — Screw
Pensitivity’s Three Things Challenge — Tune – Honest – Betray
Authorworld — Picture – It’s a Mystery
Your Daily Word— Stymie

Positivity’s Lifeboat

Life is designed to screw and stymie
To make you shout —Cor blimy!
It’ll force you to ask —why me?
Shout —Life will not get by me!

Life might be that unreachable boat
Floundering across the lake and so remote
It sits in the sunset and seems to gloat
It is reachable with positivity’s lifeboat

Tune out the negativity with positivity rife
Betray the demon and swim out of strife
Cut through the water with an honest knife
Claim the unreachable boat and a successful life

Thanks for reading my friends.

There’s more in the Poetry Corner, Poetry Nook, and the Short Story Collection

Have a great day!
