Passage of Time

“‘Time passing by, no time to cry.’ I saw the picture prompt and began to sing that one. Then I wrote a poem – go figure!”

I wrote this poem in answer to the following prompts:
Fandango’s Flash Fiction Challenge – Picture Above
FOWC with Fandango  — Repeat
Word of the Day — Frenetic

Passage of time

Listen to the tick and tock
The frenetic rhythm of the clock
No time to repeat
Or remain glued to your seat

Time passing by
Too fast to fly
It’s racing in Moscow
Sprinting in Tokyo

In London it’s Big Ben’s call
In New York they follow City Hall
There’s a clock on every wall
And still no time to do it all

Time vanishing fast
It’ll leave you aghast
Second, minutes, and hours
I need time travel powers

Thanks for reading my friends.

There’s more in the Poetry CornerPoetry Nook, and the Short Story Collection

Have a great day!
