Walking in the Rain

“The Weather is often used to add mood to a story or scene. Truth is the weather is not connected to any certain feeling accept the one you place upon it. Why not smile in the rain and enjoy it.”

I wrote this poem in answer to the following prompts:
Fandangos Flash Fiction Challenge — Picture Above
Word of the Day Challenge  — Chills
Your Daily Word Prompt — Lacuna

Walking in the Rain

Three ladies walking the lane
Beneath the pitter patter of rain
Water gurgles — falls into the drain
Droplets forming on the window pane

They’re out for a night of thrills
The weather only gives chills
All the while the traffic mills
Unending rain splashes and spills

A lacuna in lost time
At the end of daytime
Three ladies heading for showtime
The theatre show shall be prime

Whether good or bad
Weather is no omen to be sad
Its not there to make you mad
Have a good day and be glad
