“Good morning, my friends! Let’s start with a roar of positivity! Whatever is going wrong break free, take a breath and know you can still do this!”
I wrote this poem in answer to the following prompts:
FOWC with Fandango — Fault
Your Daily Word — Kneel
Ragtag Daily Prompt — On the Roof
Breaking Free
Was it really your fault
They treated you asphalt
Failures like a mental assault
rubbing wounds with salt
You did your very best
Worked hard and didn’t rest
Strived for a successful quest
Your defeat was their behest
Do not kneel and never dwell
Get on the roof and yell
This is not my death knell
I’m fighting and it’s time to raise hell
Thanks for reading my friends.
There’s more in the Poetry Corner, Poetry Nook, and the Short Story Collection
Have a great day!

This is not my death knell
I’m fighting and it’s time to raise hell”
