I can only tell tales by being curious. I have to be open to inspiration coming from everywhere and allow myself to explore that. There are few places I wont go for a story. So, when the prompts come I’m in my glory!”
I wrote this poem in answer to the following prompts:
FOWC with Fandango — Hamper
Your Daily Word Prompt — Parse
Ragtag Daily Prompt — Curious
I’m Curious
Mine is a curious mind
I love to solve a mystery
Discover treasure to find
Look into intriguing history
Wild imagination, happy camper
Inspirations lie everywhere
Including the chef’s food hamper
I love to create and share
Then comes the dreaded rewrite
My sentences are tough to parse
Repairs could take all night
Editing is a pain in the arse
But when the story is done
You’ll want to join me
For adventure, thrills and fun
Don’t forget to bring tea
Thanks for reading my friends.

I’ve always been plagued by my curious mind.
I will now embrace it. You poetic words are perfect.

I’m a fan of editing. It can really improve prose.

Oh, sure it does. For me, I hate it because of my failed novels. I edited the first one 8 times. It’s been seen by a few editors and they wanted to change pretty much everything. So, I’ve grown to not care about editing knowing no matter what I do it’ll be wrong anyway, you see.
