Fighting for Me

“You may have realised I write a lot of poetry about failing and prevailing lately. This is by prescription. To help with my negativity demon and to heal and move on, I was tasked to write positive poetry. It’s helping me smile and I hope it helps you too!”

I wrote this poem in answer to the following prompts:
FOWC with Fandango  — Flagrant
Your Daily Word Prompt — Bellicose
Ragtag Daily Prompt — Country Comfort

Fighting for Me

I feel a little bellicose
No, I don’t need a cookie
I’m not low on glucose
I’m fed up with being a rookie

My punctuation maybe flagrant
However, my stories are exciting
Don’t call me a literary vagrant
This writer is still fighting

Within country comfort I write
In the woods a fantasy is born
Fields of adventure take flight
Typing until me hands are worn

So, ignore my typos
And join me in a thrilling tale
Every day my library grows
This author will prevail

Thanks for reading my friends.
