Victory Dance

“Is the world against you? Is fate blocking your way? I’d have said yes to both of those things. Then I put myself among people who care and found my own path to succeed and be happy – You can do that too!”

I wrote this poem in answer to the following prompts:
FOWC with Fandango — Slight
Your Daily Word — Stifle

Victory Dance

When the world seems out to stifle
To kill your dreams no matter how slight
Draw hope as your rifle
And shout, ‘My futures bright!’

You see it’s all about greed
People hate your victory dance
They lose if you succeed
So, they quash your last chance

Now you must become strong
Battle through the negativity stream
Fight and prove the haters wrong
Shout, ‘I will claim my dream!”

Find those who will support
Drag your positivity from the abyss
Build that successful rapport
Remember, you can do this!

Thanks for reading my friends.
