Nature of Emotion

“Emotions are what make us human. To never feel anger, love, sadness, anxiety, fear, thrill, is to not be alive. They’re building lifelike robots these days. Emotions are something they can never feel. So, no matter what they can never be better than humans. Always remember its okay to feel the way you do. Just don’t allow the darker emotions to overcome you. Use the brighter ones to propel you along your happy path through life. How are you feeling today?

I wrote these poems in answer to the following prompts:
FOWC with Fandango — Emotions
Your Daily Word — Covet
Ragtag Daily Word — Dangerous

Nature of Emotions

Excitement is a great feeling
Melancholy, sad not so appealing
Optimistic, covet success you reap
Tired, oh please let me sleep
Inspired to do great work
Outraged, I’ll kill that berk
Nervous, anxious about everything
Satisfied, happy enough to sing

It’s okay to have emotions
They’re as natural as the oceans.
It’s healthy to let those feelings free
Whether love, sadness or glee
Dangerous times come of dealing alone
That’s why it’s good to have a moan
Know that emotions are alright
Just calm down before you fight

    1. Hello, Sadje.

That’s my thoughts. It’s healthy to let them out, to talk about them. To express them so long as they don’t lead to violence, self harm or bad things. By expressing them we can deal with the courses and find happiness.

      Thank you for reading.
