Lewis the Lunatic

“We’ve all seen and be subject to lunatic drivers. All I can say is please drive safe and be careful out there!”

I wrote this poem in answer to the following prompts:
Pensitivity’s three things challenge – Leaping – Driver – Erratic
FOWC with Fandango — Petulant
Ragtag Daily Word — Jagged

Lewis the Lunatic

Lewis was an erratic driver
He bought his license for a fiver
His turns jagged and sweeping,
He sent pedestrians leaping

Australians called him a hoon
Because he drove like a goon
Always breaking the speed limit
Honking his horn like a petulant dimwit

His car tyres were bald
At every junction he stalled
Never indicating to change lane
He drove other motorists insane

Once he crashed into a tree
Leaving the road covered in debris
Even a fence hit the deck
Leaving his car a smoking wreck

Soon the police were on the scent
Noticing his bumpers were all bent
He’d committed every offence under the sun
The judge said, ‘Your driving days are done!’

    1. Thank you so much. I glad you enjoyed it. A large majority of the passers through our village are like this maniac lol. We have a least one crash a day and most people ignore speed limits and such. Its so sad how little people care for their lives and the lives of those around them while driving.
