“My brother and I couldn’t be more different. He dresses in the finest labels he can afford. Preens his hair like a cockatoo and struts about like the lord of manner. Me on the other hand, so long as it’s cheap and I feel comfortable, I don’t care how it looks. Maybe its because I have no self confidence, or hope of charming a lady. I don’t know. Either way, I’m happy not to be wearing a thousand pounds worth of clothes for Lucy dog to shed all over!”
I wrote this poem in answer to the following prompts:
FOWC with Fandango — Affordable
Your Daily Word — Opinion
Fashion Statement
Is it affordable or not?
For some it’s about looking hot
They crave the rave opinion
To control the fashion dominion
They don’t care for a pretty dress
Just one that’ll surely impress
Even if it costs a ton
They’ll get in debt if it’s one
For me it’s comfort over look
The cheapest in the book
All I need is it to fit
To know the crotch wont split
I’ll buy ten shirts for fifty
With money, I’m pretty nifty
My clothes might look crappy
At least my bank manager’s happy
The morel, be comfortable in your clothes
Fashionable: is what you say goes
Who cares what people think
Just strut by and give them a wink
Thanks for reading my friends.

She sure is. She’s been playing with a new treat puzzle today. Living room is trashed but she had a great time!
