“Sometimes, all I can do is create silly things. Sorry, this is one of those times!”
I wrote this poem in answer to the following prompts:
Word of the Day — Prim
Your Daily Word — Outlandish
Ragtag Daily Prompt — Jinx
Mindlovemisery’s Menagerie – Opposing Forces — East-West | Brighten -Fade
Jinxed by Calleigh
She’ll come from east or west
You’ll not want her as a guest
Her smile will brighten, yours will fade
Well, the warnings were made
She’s not outlandish nor prim
To cross her will be grim
By her side a bearded lynx
Some say she calls it Jinx
She’s been known to fly
Cackling on a broomstick, high
Her postcode is Greenwich
She’s called Calleigh the witch
She shouts curses for joy
You’re her next play toy
Shrinking toward the road
You’ve been jinxed into a toad
Thanks for reading my friends.

Indeed, we have a lot of frogs and the occasional fat toad here in Norfolk. I often have to get them off the road when out at dusk.

So kind of you! By the way, I have dear friend that I met online many years ago who lives in Norfolk. I write letters to her. Small world!

Small world indeed. We’ve probably met in passing and never knew we had a connection.
