The Secret

“Secrets are things we yearn to tell, but promised to lock away. We all have them, and trust others with them too. What’s your secret? I’ll never tell!”

The Secret

It’s a secret, never tell
Never drop this entrusted bombshell
Silence is the only way
To keep your promise — never say

However insistent people will be
I suggest you tell a fib or three
You see, it’s better to tell a lie
Than to let that secret fly

Remember, you were taken into trust
To reveal my secret is unjust
Be good and I’ll be contrite
Never telling what you did last night
