Being Eclectic

This Poem was written in answer to The Word of the Day Challenge –
Eclectic.

Hope you enjoy my diverse little ditty…

Being Eclectic

To be Eclectic one must be broad

Well-mingled even a little flawed

Be selective when you converse

Always open, wonderfully diverse

The Eclectic person is a liberal one

Multi-faceted, a universal sun

Their interests and hobbies assorted

Eclectic thought processes, often contorted

Eclectic is not at all strange

Its simply wide of range

Its heterogenous to a fault

Not a sign of the occult

I am eclectic to my big toe

I go along with every flow

I am diverse and dilatant

I think —even intelligent

So, come and be Eclectic with me

Live life open and free

Be into everything you like

Those naysayers can take a hike

Thanks for reading my friends. As always there are more stories and poems to be enjoyed (I hope) in the Short Stories and Short Stories 2 and Poetry Corner tabs.

Have a great day!

      1. I suppose it is cool. Yeah I looked at all options. I cant do proper publishing having been screwed three times by them. I cant afford to get my books ready or promote them if I self publish so I cant do it. There’s no success for me.
