Creature of Bad Habit

This story was written for Pensitivity 101’s Three Things Challenge #339

Today’s threes Prompt’s are: Habit, Same, Pity

Creature of Bad habit

I am a creature of bad habit

A vulnerable little rabbit

I do everything the same way

Knowing I’ll fail the day

Through humiliation and hate

I’ve closed every gate

My dream is gone, I won’t dare

To try again through fear

Me and My stories left wrecked

While criminals cashed a checked

Have left me a creature of bad habit

I want to know, why me? Dag-nabit!

No, I’m not looking for your pity

It’s my fault everything was unpretty

I just hope through all I write

That one day all will come right

For now, I can do no more

I fear what might be instore

If I open heart, and risk the pain

I don’t think I’ll survive if I fail again

Thanks for reading my friends. As always there are more stories to be enjoyed (I hope) in the Short Stories and Short Stories 2 tabs. There’s also poetry here in Poetry Corner

Have a great day!

  1. I’m sure this is a very relatable piece to many struggling writers. I know what you went through and how difficult it’s been for you to keep writing. I’m very proud of your resilience and strength of character. You might feel flawed. You might suffer from self-doubt. But, you’re definitely not alone. Sending hugs!!! 💕
